Facilities and Amenities
Each year more and more families are taking to the road and finding the recreation vehicle is the solution for their travel problems. The FAMCAMP is an approach to help reduce the high cost of vacations, weekend excursions, PCS moves, TDY and leave travel, by offering traveling families and retirees the use of Air Force facilities on Vandenberg.

This program allows the whole family, including pets, to participate and enjoy the benefits of travel, sight-seeing and outdoor recreation while keeping expenses to a minimum. If you have family members arriving for a visit, consider having them stay at the FAMCAMP.

Our lot is equipped with 49 spaces with water/sewer/electric (50/30 amp), 20 dry camping spaces and 20 tent spaces. Facilities at the FAMCAMP include the main lounge, with restrooms, showers, laundry and cable TV available to patrons. Your cooperation is requested to help maintain the camp in top condition. Please report any vandalism, misuse of equipment, needed repairs, or suggestions to the FAMCAMP office

Getting to the FAMCAMP
If you are coming to Vandenberg AFB with an RV, you will need to enter through the Lompoc Gate and not the main gate. The Lompoc gate is open daily from 0600 to 1900 and is located on Santa Lucia Rd (Off Highway 1 South of Vandenberg's Main Gate). If you are arriving after 1900, please utilize the Solvang gate; which is located off of Ocean Ave in Lompoc. For further directions, contact the FAMCAMP at 606-8579 or after hours, the law enforcement desk at 606-3911.

FamCamp availability operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Back In $20 per day $133 a week
Pull In $22 per day $148 a week
Retired DoD / Civilians / Contractors
Back In/Pull In $24 per day $160 per week
Dry Camping & Tent Camping
$8 Per Night - No hookups

Policies
Advanced reservations are available up to 60 days in advance. A one night deposit will be required when a space is reserved. To receive a cancellation refund, a 24 hour prior notice is required. The maximum length of stay for the FAMCAMP spaces is 30 days, although extensions may be granted. Military personnel on TDY or PCS may utilize a space for the time required to complete the TDY or clear the base. Checkout time is at 11am. Persons occupying a space after 11am will be charged an additional day of rent.
